Hedstrom Lumber Company produces a wide range of products to meet the needs of manufactures, wholesalers, and retail lumber yards. All products are produced from locally sourced red pine, white pine, and spruce. Standard grades and custom grades are available in sizing from 1 x 4 to 12 x 12 in lengths up to 20’. Core products include red pine commons and selects in 1 x 4 through 1 x 8, timbers 3 x 4 through 4 x 6, and SPFs dimension in 2 x 4 through 2 x 12.

Sustainability

Hedstrom Lumber products come from responsibly managed forests that are environmentally sound, socially beneficial, and economically prosperous. Our log procurement policies were developed to meet the objectives set by international forest sustainability organizations in the US and Canada.

We also partner with US Forest Service on stewardship projects to improve forest health, wildlife habitat, and recreation opportunities in the Superior National Forest. Past projects include forest thinning, site preparation for replanting, removal of trees damaged by pests or fire, and wildlife habitat improvement.
